Post op hair loss

The hair loss after surgery is a real thing. Not just a few extra hairs but a big wad of hair after washing and combing my hair. I constantly feel hair falling on my arms or sticking to my clothes. I clean my brush every time I use it and clean out a big wad of hair.

I had the same issue when I had my first spine surgery 18 months ago. I’ve had 3 hair stylists tell me anesthesia disrupts the hair follicles. I expected the hair loss but if you haven’t had surgery before, expect it.

oh no – that’s a lot of hair! (mine seems to fall out when I’m sick with migraine for too many days in a row – I guess it’s just our body’s way of prioritizing???) Hope you’re doing OK, Linda xx
