I’m Rebecca and I’m currently 51 years old. I’ve had scoliosis since I was about 12 years old and it didn’t cause any real issues until the last 20 years. This blog is about my journey with scoliosis, my T3-pelvis fusion on Dec 31, 2024, recovery and day to day life with a long fusion.

Background: I was active duty United States Air Force for 8 years as a psychiatric technician and Staff Sergeant. I graduated with my bachelors of science in nursing and then my masters in nursing. I achieved my goal of becoming a Certified Case Manager (CCM). I love to get things done and make things happen. These skills absolutely assisted me in making my health decisions as well as being my own case manager and getting what I needed. Unfortunately, my health forced me into disability retirement in 2022.
