I walked in the hospital in a t shirt, sports bra, panties, pants and hands free sneakers. I didn’t bring any other clothes except a lightweight robe. And no clothes were needed during my hospital stay. I did wear the robe when transferring via wheelchair van to the rehab facility. That was nice to have so my butt wasn’t flashing the world.
As for the items I kept at my bedside…I didn’t have much but everything I had, I used.
I got a nice, large makeup bag with a zipper at the top. This fit all the items shown in the picture.
The eye mask is an absolute necessity. The hospital (and rehab) rooms are never, ever dark. Even with the lights off. There was always a machine or computer light or something that would light up the room. The mask was also handy to use during the day for a nap.
Hard eye glass case. I wear progressive lens glasses and didn’t wear them at all during my hospital and rehab stay. But it was nice to have them handy anyway.
Headphones with a neck strap. These were around $20 and so nice to have. I own Galaxy Buds and while they stay in my ears very well, no way would I chance losing one. These headphones stayed around my neck and they are magnetized so they click together when you aren’t using the buds. I even used them to listen to music when I slept.
Mints and candy. Not a necessity but nice to have something available.
Anker power bank. It has an attached USB C cord and I kept the USB A adapter in the bag to charge my Kindle.
Moxe aromatherapy nasal stick. I love these and I use them every day. They are nasal sticks that have essential oil combinations for a delightful sniff anytime you want. I have 4 different scents. Happy is my favorite one.
Farm and Bee lip balm, lens wipes, pen, moist towelettes to wipe my hands. Clinique Happy travel perfume. A spritz of Happy makes me happy every day.
So those are the items I kept by me in bed. Everything stayed contained in the bag and it didn’t get lost in the bed.
