New obstacle post op scoliosis spine fusion! Drive up pharmacy!!

I went to CVS to pick up a prescription for the first time since I started driving. I normally go through the drive through so I thought nothing about doing that today.

Here’s what I learned….go inside the store!! I drove up as usual. Then I realized I can’t twist or reach the drawer that I need to put my card in and sign the receipt. And then get the bag of medication bottles. So I opened my car door a bit so I could swivel around to face the window. I also had my car window down. The tech pushed out the drawer to get my payment card and for me to sign the receipt. Well…..it was really hard to even reach over my door into the drawer to get the little clipboard. It was almost impossible actually. I tried to reach as much as I could without hurting myself and I got the clipboard, put it back in the drawer and then the same issue when he put the drawer out with the medication bag.

Lesson learned….park and go inside the store. I have gone through a fast food drive through and that was fine since they handed me the bag and I wasn’t reaching for it. Just a tid bit of info you may not have thought about yet.
